Psilocybin & Human Consciousness

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

The use of psilocybin has been part of the human healing and awakening journey for thousands of years along with the use of other plant medicines.

Today we stand at a pivotal moment in the human history of psychedelic mushrooms as we navigate a new path, a more conscious path of healing and self-development with this incredible medicine.

What is Psilocybin?

Psilocybin is a naturally occurring psychedelic compound produced by more than 200 species of mushrooms around the world.

When ingested orally (dried, tinctured, or in tea) the psilocybin is quickly broken down by the liver and transformed into psilocin.

Psilocin is responsible for the psychedelic effects.

Human evolution

Some theorists believe that psilocybin has been intricately linked to the development of human consciousness since the beginning of our evolution.

The Olmecs and their five off-spring cultures (including the Aztecs, Mayans, and Incas), for example, created a psychedelic brew out of this ‘flesh of the gods’ that was consumed during spiritual ceremonies.

They seemed to open doorways in the mind of the drinker to higher dimensions and gave access to advanced knowledge and wisdom far beyond our comprehension.

60 ' s Counterculture

During the ‘Swinging Sixties’, psychedelic drugs became prolific within the counterculture and many people began to use ‘magic’ mushrooms for recreational purposes.

Unfortunately, through misuse of the medicine, some people developed forms of psychosis.

In 1971 Richard Nixon, the president of the USA at that time, introduced the Controlled Substances Act, rendering psilocybin, mescaline, LSD, and DMT illegal, launching his ‘war on drugs' campaign.

Many psychedelics are classified under Schedule I of the United Nations Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 1971 as drugs with the greatest potential to cause harm and no acceptable medical uses.

We know this not to be true.

Modern Mapping

Since 1997 when Dr Franz Vollenweider published his scientific findings,

followed by a plethora of other clinical trials on the human brain,

psilocybin is now embraced by healers all over the world

as revolutionary for mental and emotional health, chronic pain and disease, and spiritual connection, as well as being life-transforming and life-saving!

Through something known as Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI),

psilocybin has been proven to increase the growth and development of brain cells,

improve hyper-connectivity between neural pathways,

and massively alter subconscious thought patterns.

This enables the subjects to think more clearly and discover

new solutions to old thought patterns, while increasing their

ability to communicate clearly and to foster a deeper connection

to all things.

Findings From Research

A New Look at Microdosing

When people think of psychedelics or 'magic mushrooms'

they automatically imagine an experience of full immersion in the medicine and having a full macro-dose psychedelic journey.

Microdosing is the practice of ingesting tiny near-threshold perceptible doses of classic psychedelic substances to enhance neurological behaviors.

This practice is NOT a gateway into larger psychedelic experiences and is a practice in and of its self.

Understanding how the mind and consciousness work along with well-curated microdosing protocols, psychedelic microdosing may well be the wellness and self-development practice of our future.

Over the last twenty years, clinical trials have proven again and again the efficacy of this profoundly metaphysical substance in treating psychological and chronic pain conditions.

These experiments have only served to validate what the shamans and priests/priestesses of the indigenous people and our ancestors have known for tens of thousands of years.

Psilocybe mushrooms have exerted not only a significant effect on our evolution thus far, but that could continue to positively change the human psyche, individually and collectively, and transform the future of the human race.

If used mindfully and consciously this medicine could be a part of our future, it may well create our future.

Your role in this collective movement is paramount.
